In another development, the Inspector General of Police,, has warned that any police officer found responsible for misuse of power that resulted into the death, injury or indignity of citizens, would be dismissed from service and charged to court.
Adamu issued the warning during his official visit to Lagos State on Monday, stating that, the line supervisors of such officer, including the Area Commander, Divisional Police Officer or Sectional Head, would be sanctioned for lacking supervision.
He expressed his condolences to the bereaved families of the victims of the misuse of firearms in the state, noting that, the recent abuse of power by some police officers was against the statutory provisions of the Nigeria Police Force.
He added that, an administrative approach had been put in place to re-orientate personnel to enable them function in line with professional conducts.

In recent months, many Nigerians have complained about the growing rate of visa denials, even after filling the forms properly and tendering authentic documents to back reason(s) for travel.
The mission also announced that it would lecture citizens on how the process works on Wednesday at 2:00pm.
Some Nigerians have however expressed their anger in a thread under the tweet.
