We begin from Ebonyi state where, Governor David Umahi has expressed sadness over the unfortunate demise of some persons, following the recent outbreak of communal clashes in some parts of the state.
Umahi stated this in Abakaliki, the state capital, during a meeting with stakeholders from the three affected local government areas.
The communities have been having interactable boundary dispute for decades.
According to the governor, if the chairman of a community is not able to protect the lives of his people, then he should resign or be sacked whether it is constitutional or not.
The governor who accused some stakeholders from the communities of fuelling the crisis, called on leaders of the affected communities to work towards ensuring peace in the state.
